Canon and Eyeka launch an exceptional contest to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the world-famous EOS cameras.
I have known and worked with Canon, an international leader in photography and world-renowned camera maker, for several years when i was in charge of the account with CLM/BBDO or later when i was managing Corbis, the picture agency. It is in their DNA to put the brand’s experience and technological know-how at the service of photographers and their work. In this operation, Canon also actively encourages and promotes creativity on the internet with communities of authors, amateurs, all passionate about images. The contest will be promoted in 1 000 stores accross France.
The association with Eyeka seemed obvious for Canon, which finds in this partnership the ideal way to target its users and non-users and to build a community around their common passion. Actually Eyeka gathers on its website all the new talented and creative authors on the web as it’s both a talent scout and a trend spotter for original creations.

With more than 100 prizes, the contest will certainly reach a large target. The winner will get a safari to Kenya for 2 persons with a Canon EOS 400D SLR; other selected photographers will win Week-end Getaways for 2, and many others prizes!
