Hard for me not to share with you our latest PR relase about EYEKA. We’re launching our recrutment campaign today, after a few months of Alpha and Beta testing. Some say that we could have launched before. I kind of agree…Our vision is to help define how will TV on mobile and web look like in the next few months? It’s a lot about video, but as much about photo. Check our TV channels. We signed a dozen video producers and photographers.

Paris, April 2nd 2007 – Today Eyeka launches its web and mobile site – www.eyeka.com – and invites all creators photographers, video makers, graphic artists, movie directors… Showcase your works on our next-generation platform dedicated to talent promotion and syndication, get noticed by the media and earn royalties!
A unique site for the promotion of creators of pictures
Eyeka is a brand new space with high editorial values for creation via computers and mobile phones. Eyeka showcases, promotes, broadcasts and syndicates creative works uploaded by prosumers and independent creators.
At all times our editorial team’s mission is to spot creators with a high potential and highlight their works.
In doing so, Eyeka will either (i) co-generate and co-edit creative cultural and entertainment channels for our partners or (ii) syndicate the best works to traditional and new media. In both cases, we make a point of getting market-rate income for the works distributed.
Showcase and share your creations on eyeka.com
With its themed channels – Night, Street, Daily, Earth, Series and Noise – Eyeka tracks the news and the trends.
Eyeka give authors of photos, videos, clips , shorts, reportage and series free rein to express their thoughts and their imagination. One pre-requisite: creative quality.
Creators have their own personal page where they can

They also benefit from high value-added functionalities:

• player which can be exported onto any site
• full access to 3rd-generation cell phones
• anytime anywhere viewing of photo and/or video content via the Web or their cell phone
• voting system which allows authors to review, rate and comment their peers thus making their views known to the community
Eyeka supports creation!
Eyeka believes in the value and potential of a new generation of creative video and photo content. This has led us to create ‘Eyeka Studio’: our aim is accompany creators who have an independent original project with a potential for distribution and –as a syndicator- to contribute to its financing through cash advances against future sales.
With calls for submissions launched on a regular basis by Eyeka on its or its partners’ behalf , we invite authors to submit new works to the vote of our members and visitors! Juries of professionals will attribute awards in various guises: TV and/or press syndication, grants for projects, etc…
As soon as April, Eyeka organizes 2 competitions, a Prize for Photography on the theme of STREET LIFE and urban culture, a Prize for Series of Shorts: the MOBWEBSERIES.
Adds Franck Perrier :
It’s interesting to observe that some amateurs achieve results which can rival those of professionals, provided that they receive due payment for their creativity; furthermore amateurs often bring a refreshing look to the often-formulaic world of mass media.
